Friday, Feb. 12th we start the morning with a class called Crazy Eights

A card, a box, a Gel-y technique...we are talking about your very own custom recipe box.  Join Cheryl as we die cut Eileen Hull's Sizzix Recipe Box with coordinating Recipe Cards and then gelli print some fun designs using Gel Press gel printing plates.  You will be playing with different gelatin printing techniques and leave with a great sample cards or a fun set of cards for all of your family and favorite recipes.

Class starts at 10am. Light Breakfast will be served beforehand.  Class will go until 12:30.
Cost is $50.

After the first class, we will have lunch provided while you have a chance to shop and enjoy a chair massage by Jamie Ferranti (our favorite local masseuse).

The second class of the day that Cheryl is teaching is called PB & Gelli.  It will start at 2:30 and go to 5pm.

Have fun printing with Gel Press gel printing plates, The Crafter's Workshop Stencils, DecoArts paints, inks and more creating your own Pencil or Brush Bag with Cheryl.  Using a newly released zippered bag by Canvas Corp, Cheryl will guide you through the steps to create a personalized bag you can then use for your pens, brushes, markers, or make-up.

Cost of this class is $50.

Cheryl returns on Saturday for an amazing Scuplting with PowerTex class.

Again, the day will start with a light breakfast at 9am and the class promptly starting at 10am.

Making a stone art sculpture allows complete freedom of expression in creating wonderful figures that have their own individuality and presence.  Cheryl will show you how to construct a wire armature that is ‘mummified’ and then modeled with air-dried clay by mixing Powertex as well as mixing with Stone Art and 3DFlex.  Stone Art is a kind of Paper Mache specially developed for Powertex where 3DFlex is more a clay. Cheryl will guide you step by step to transform your armature into a majestic Bison. Whether you are a beginner or advanced artist, you’ll love this Workshop!

Lunch will be provided, along with a special Thank You Valentine gift package.

ANNUAL GARAGE SALE

It’s time to organize!!  Do you find yourself wondering what you’re going to do with all that stuff you’ll never use?  Maybe you’ve used it a couple times and you’re done  with it.  We have the solution for you.  Sell it at our Scrapbook Garage Sale.

Call to sign up as a seller at the garage sale.  You’ll be assigned a code to use on your price tags…that’s right, you price it at whatever you want.  We will collect $5 registration fee (to offset advertising we are doing for the sale) when you sign up for your code.  On the sale day, you don’t even have to be here to sell the item.  We’ll have staff here to sell it for you.  After the sale is complete, you will receive store credit for 90% of all the items you sold during the sale (10% will be kept for administration purposes).  We will limit the number of sellers to ensure a smooth set-up and organized sale, so please sign up only if you’re sure and do so early to reserve your spot.  If you have any items left over after the sale, you can pick them up afterward, or leave them for us to donate to a local organization (school, hospital, senior center, etc..) who can benefit from them.  Here are the details:

Feb. 1st:  Registration Opens  You can call the store to reserve a seller spot but it is not reserved until you’ve paid the registration fee.  Sellers will pay the $5 registration fee when signing up for their spot.

Feb. 24th - March 3rd :  Start bringing your items in for check-in.

March 6th:  Sale starts at noon!!

March 7th: Sale starts at 10am!!

March 11th:  Must have all items picked up that did not sell by this date.  Otherwise they will be donated on May 21.

March 12th:  Store Credits will be available to all sellers who participated and sold items in the sale.  Gift cards must be used within 6 months of issue.

The fine print:

Paper Arts is not responsible for items lost or stolen during the sale, however, we do our best to deter theft.  TO minimize loss, please make sure all of your items are packaged labeled well.  We often see price tags fall off, and have to make judgment calls on whether or not to sell an item.  We will not make adjustments after an item has sold.  Please make sure yours are secure and items that go together are secured together (we recommend using a Sharpie/Slick Writer directly on a bag, a strong adhesive label, or put your price tag inside the package) and has no chance of falling off.  Please avoid bringing individual papers and sticker sheets, or any other items not in a package, as they tend to get damaged during the sale, as well as extend the time at checkout.  We ask that you group products together in sealed bags or containers, clearly labeled with the contents (if not visible), legible seller code and price.  If you need to cancel your seller spot in the sale, you must do so at least one week in advance to receive store credit for your registration fee.  Registration fee is not refundable if cancellation is made within a week of the sale.

Regular store shopping will not be allowed during this time.

As a courtesy to other shoppers, please do not bring in purses, or other items with personal belongings in them during the sale.  You may bring an empty tote bag or box with which to shop, though.
