Hello friends....it's September 1st and here we are at the beginning of
fall. We are definitely living in a crazy, unpredictable time and man
is 2020 proving to provide more cliffhangers than a bad season finale of
Dallas (who shot JR?)--for you younger folks, you probably won't get
that, I'm sorry. Anyway, by now I'm sure that you have heard that the
move that I alluded to in the email a couple weeks ago did not happen.
There was some non-negotiable changes to the lease when it came down to
it that we found out about at the 11th hour that differed from what was
verbally promised and The Accountant and I felt it was best to let that
space slide by and not move there. I am confident that we will find our
new space soon (our current lease is up in January so the days are
ticking by quickly for us to find the future home of Paper Arts). I've
had some of you question why we are looking for a new space and so here
is the Cliff Notes version...#1: we have outgrown our current space.
#2: There are some maintenance issues that are not being remedied in our
current space that are dealbreakers for staying long-term. #3: If you
have ever tried to get a parking spot in our parking lot during one of
our events (obviously during non-Covid items) you know that our parking
lot is not big enough for me and all of my neighbors so we need better
parking. So there it is in a nutshell. Now, on to other stuff.
I've
been watching the Covid 19 numbers daily and they are still increasing
(and likely will continue to do so as long as folks don't properly
social distance, wear masks, wash your hands regularly, and all of the
other things that need to be done to bring the cases down in our
state). So....here we are at the beginning of another month and we are
making the decision to continue our shopping by appointment process. As
always, you can book your shopping appointment on our website here:
Book a Shopping Appointment Here
Also,
just a reminder, you can't book same day shopping appointments online.
If you want to do a same day shopping appointment, please either email
or call the store and I will do my best to work you in where we have
gaps in our appointments. You may have to wait in your car for a few
minutes, but so far I have been able to work 95% of the folks in on same
day.
Heads up...I will not be at the store tomorrow until
11:30. I have an appointment at 10am that I need to tend to before
coming to the store.
We have tons of new products in the store
and while I am working hard to get them all uploaded to our website,
many are not uploaded, so I encourage you to make an appointment to come
check it all out. I'm sanitizing and cleaning between each appointment
time so it can be as clean and safe for each person.
We also
have several classes this month that are going to be fun. Here's a
sneak peek at the September Class schedule. As a reminder, all classes
are conducted virtually via zoom. You can find out more information
about each class by clicking on the blue link in the title.

One of the recent additions to the store is the All People All Nations collection. This is an older collection but it is beautifully bright and very pertinent to the current times and this collection will go quickly.
Attic Charm by Blue Fern Studios is another new collection that we have in the store and it is amazingly beautiful.

I hope that each of you have a blessed week and that you will make an appointment to come shop with us.
