Out with 2015 and in with 2016.....

As 2015 comes to a close, I look back and (I think I can speak for Nancy on this also), to say that we have had a blessed year.  Not only has 2015 brought with it expanded inventory selection and new ownership of Paper Arts, but we have increased our crop area and brought in several guest designers that are experts in their field to share with our local friends here.  But, as much fun as 2015 was, we have even bigger plans for 2016 and we cannot wait to share them with you as the new year unfolds.

However, we have a few more things left for 2015.....

Saturday, December 26th, we are hosting our first annual Boxing Day Sale!

Bring in ANY empty box, fill it with product that you want to buy...then when you get to the register you will draw a ticket and receive anywhere from 20% to 45% off the entire BOX!

Our hours for our Boxing Day Sale will be 10am to 5pm.

CLASSES

Progressive Art Journal

Tuesday, January 5th  6pm to 9pm$20

This will be the second month for Susan's Progressive Art Journal.  If you are new to the class, no problem.  Those that started last month will create 2 double inside pages.  The new starters will create their front covers and first inside pages.  

What is a Progressive Art Journal?  Each month, the first Tuesday evening of the month, we are going to meet (starting in December of 2015) and we are going to create 2 double page art journal layouts (in the same book).  Each month we will highlight new techniques, colors, quotes, etc….

Please bring adhesive, scissors, and your choice of washi tape.

Graphic 45 Mon Amour Album

The Graphic 45 Mon Amour Album will use the amazing papers and embellishments that feature Graphic's latest love story plus their Mixed Media Albums.  Susan will walk you through creating 16 pages (8 front and back) in this class.  Fall in love with Graphic 45 all over again.

Stampendous Heart Canvas

Ellie Gamboa, a Stampendous Representative, will be here teaching how to use one of Stampendous's new Valentine stamps and some of their other amazing embossing products to create a canvas with techniques that can be transferred into journal making, papercrafting, and other spectrums of the art world.  

Bible Journaling

Join Nancy on the third Tuesday of each month, 6-8 PM, as we journey through God’s Word artfully.  Each month we’ll do 3-4 pages, featuring a specific product/technique.  You will need to provide your own Bible with 2” margins, (with or without lines) available at Mardels or Lifeway.  If you have already embellished the page we are doing in class, you may do the artwork on vellum and attach it to your Bible page using washi tape.

Prima Doll Double Page Layout

Thunder Word Class

Valentine Angel Canvas

This will be a fun mixed media project using hearts, angels, and tons of fun.  Susan is still working on the completed project specifically for this, but it will be out in the store in a few days.  We'll post a picture on facebook when it's finished.  

Winter Mini Album

Nancy is going to be using the Eileen Hull Passport Sizzix Die to create this mini album.  So cute and easy with 12 pages and a light winter theme.  Each page has fun embellishments and surprises.

Valentine Cards

We are going to make 6 valentine cards.  Susan has a few surprises in store for this class so she's only showing us the first card so far.  But isn't cupid just adorable?  The rest will be posted to facebook as she reveals them, she promises.  

CROPS

What is Crop?  (We've had some folks ask us lately).  For us, Crop is a time to bring your projects, use our space, enjoy the friendship and help of others, and work on  your cards, scrapbook layouts, Pocket Letters, or whatever else you want. For 2016, we will provide light snacks only during these events.

An amazing day of fun is coming up!!

For those that remember him from the spring, Lance Anderson is coming back for another fun filled day of creating and laughter. 

On Thursday, December 17th, he will be coming back to Paper Arts to teach 3 classes.  

These 3 classes are going to offer some amazing techniques to transfer to all of your other projects, plus, you will go home with creations ready for gifting.

The first class is Lance's Envelope Surprise album.  Paper may vary slightly but using envelopes, chipboard and book binding paper we will make an 6x8 Album from scratch.   You will never look at your mail (and envelopes) the same way again.  Pockets, Pockets and more Pockets, this Album of envelopes will stash all of your treasures.  Come learn how to build this Amazing Envelope Album. 

This class will be from 10am to 1pm.  The cost is $40.

 

 

 

 

The second class is some amazing pop up cards.  I love making these cards and Lance is going to show you how easy it is to make cards that POP and wow.

This class is from 2pm to 4pm.  Cost is $40.

6 Cards!   We will teach you the Techniques to make Cards that POP using Karen Burniston’s Pop It Ups.  

You will make 3  cards in class and learn the technique to make 3 more with the product supplied.  My gaol is to teach you how easy it is to make pop up cards using the wafer thin dies cuts from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

We will make 2 Eiffel Tower cards, a beach card and a card with a pivot  (this is a piece that will rotate as the card both opens an pops).  

We will teach the technique to make 3 Explosion cards with Pop it Ups in the middle. 

Everything is Precut/die cut our and ready for you to "Begin The MOTION" in POP UP CARDS.  Due to time restraints - We will make 3 or 4 cards and then You will then have product to make the additional cards using the techniques you just learned.

 

 

The final class is a Custom Canvas Creation.  This will be a workshop to help you create the perfect personalized Canvas that you want.   You will get the whole alphabet $30 retail value of Large Chipboard letters and can create your own or copy exact. 

This class will be from 5pm to 8pm.  Cost is $40.
