December 2015 Classes and events

Isn't it crazy that it's already December?  Where has this year gone to?

We have some amazing events set up for you this month to help with the stress of holiday preparation and getting ready for the new year.

Progressive Art Journal

Tuesday, Dec. 1

6pm to 8pm

 What is a Progressive Art Journal?  Each month, the first Tuesday evening of the month, we are going to meet (starting in December of 2015) and we are going to create 2 double page art journal layouts (in the same book).  Each month we will highlight new techniques, colors, quotes, etc….The first month we are going to do the covers (front and back) and 2 pages).

Dates for this round are:

Dec. 1, Jan. 5th, Feb. 2nd, March 1st, April 5th, May 3rd, June 7th, July 5th, Aug. 2nd, Sept 6,  Oct. 4th, Nov. 1st, & Dec 6th.

Stampendous Bird Canvas

Friday, Dec. 4th 10am to 2pm

We are using some new Stampendous stamps to create a cute 5x7 mixed media canvas.  This class is chocked full of techniques that can be used on lots of projects.

Christmas Card Class

You will make 8 cards using Basic Grey's latest Christmas collection. Here are just 2 of the amazing cards in the class.

INKA GOLD TECHNIQUES – CARD BONANZA!

 Inka Gold is one of those unique products that lends itself to ANY style you want it to...all you need to do is learn how to unlock its potential!  This TECHNIQUE BONANZA workshop is heavily focused on over a dozen different ways to use Inka Gold while working on a variety if cards.  Whether your personal tastes are elegant, distressed, artistic or cutesy and bright, we will be covering it during the class while we work with new stamps and stencils as well.  You will have the opportunity to work with ALL of the beautiful colors that Inka Gold has to offer to create cards that compliment your style. 

Vintage Photo Transfer Canvas

This one of a kind family keepsake would make a great personalized gift for the holidays!  While creating this 8x8” canvas (in your choice of paint colors) you will learn how to effectively achieve a photo transfer with that rich vintage tintype photo look.  If you have had problems with photo transfers in the past, Jen will walk you through all of her best tips and tricks for getting a perfect transfer almost every time! In addition, you will learn some fun techniques using acrylic paints. metal and a variety of mediums

Susan's Christmas Album Class

Susan has created this album from a Carta Bella Christmas collection that is amazingingly cute.  This album has lots of pockets and tags and places for photos.
